Event description

Description

Do you want to learn the basics of Design Thinking and Lean Startup to kick start your own venture, help accelerate growth within your company or learn a new way of work?

Fusion Labs, Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, will be holding a one day workshop on 19 December on practical applications of Design Thinking and Lean Startup within companies.
Our approach is informed by world-leading principles and frameworks. We have learnt from thought leaders such as Steve Blank, Ash Maurya, and Alex Osterwalder. We have studied at leading global universities including Stanford, MIT, Harvard, LSE and UC Berkeley. Most importantly, everything we teach we have battle-tested on our own startups and innovation projects.

The workshop will be conducted by two senior consultants who have trained teams in organisations including News Corp, NAB, Westpac and American Express.

During the one-day workshop you will learn:

● The philosophy of Lean Startup and Design thinking
● How to conduct customer empathy interviews
● The difference between the Lean Canvas and Business Model Canvas (and when to use them)
● Brainstorming techniques
● The basics of prototyping
● How to pitch a great idea

This one-day highly practical workshop is designed to give not only an overview of innovation strategy, but also introduce practical tools commonly used by innovative and successful companies. It’s designed for people with some or no exposure to Design Thinking and Lean Startup.

Group sizes will be kept to an intimate size of 15 people (maximum).
