Design Futures 2016 is an informative and enthralling way for students to discover the different design disciplines and choose a course that best suits their skills and interests. In a two-hour presentation, students will hear creative leaders tell illuminating stories describing what it’s like to build a career in their specific field of expertise.
Students will also have the chance to navigate a Design Careers Expo at which universities, TAFE colleges and design academies set up information stalls sharing details about career pathways. The Design Careers Forum assists students who would like to explore career pathways and get some insight into what drives the work practices of these creative practitioners, in a broad range of design disciplines including communication design, branding and identity, product and industrial design, interactive and multimedia design and design for the built environment.
