Event description

Description

Design @ Dusk is a talk series on design research brought to you by the Design Lab and the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning.

As the sun goes down, join us for a series of informal, inspiring and fast-paced talks exploring the possibilities for design to affect change, accompanied by an exhibition, drinks and light snacks.

Design @ Dusk #12 features talks by three speakers:

Dr. Andrew Campbell has been researching and teaching in Cyberpsychology, eMental Health and Human Development for the past 20 years, and has worked as a Registered Child and Adolescent Psychologist for over 10 years. His collaborative research work on cyberpsychology has featured on ABC’s 7:30 Report, Channel 7’s Morning Show and on various TV shows internationally. Andrew is the lead academic in the Cyberpsychology Research Group at The University of Sydney @Cyberpsych_Syd

Kristina Mah is a design researcher and karate champion. She is completing a PhD at the Design Lab at University of Sydney, under the guidance and supervision of Dr Luke Hespanhol and Dr Lian Loke. Her research investigates how Buddhist philosophy and practice can inform the design of ‘virtuous systems’. She situates her work at the intersection of philosophy, science, art and design.

Emma Simpson is a Digital Civics PhD student from Open Lab, Newcastle University, UK. Her research lies at the intersection of citizen generated data and Public Health, with a particular focus on breastfeeding and data driven policy development.
