All finished products are microwave and dishwasher safe.

What to bring?

A bottle of water
An apron or clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty
A hat ( we will be on the veranda but just in case)
All class materials, clay and firings are included in ticket cost
Covered shoes are essential.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Andrea Vinkovic, a Perth-based, Croatian-born ceramic artist, draws inspiration from the delicate balance and fragility of the natural environment, while exploring its parallels with cultural landscapes. In 2024, Vinkovic was one of three artists selected to participate in The Junction Co. and Courthouse Gallery+Studio’s IOTA exhibition and Artist in Residency program, Listening Geographies. This initiative showcased her creative vision while fostering an engaging dialogue about the relationship between art, environment and community. Vinkovic completed an Advanced Diploma in Art and Design (Ceramics) in 2022 at Central TAFE, where she later contributed as a ceramic technician and lecturer. Her artistic journey spans over two decades, with exhibitions across Perth, Australia, and internationally. Highlights include Gangjin, South Korea; national ceramic conferences in Bendigo, Brisbane, Sydney, and Hobart; multiple Sculpture by the Sea exhibitions in Cottesloe and Bondi; and the renowned Venice Art Biennale in 2022.

In addition to her artistic practice, Vinkovic is passionate about education and mentorship. She manages and teaches at ClayMake Studio in Maylands alongside her daughter, Emma, and runs the Blue Studio Ceramic Residency in Lesmurdie. Her work continues to explore the interplay between organic beauty and the human experience, making her a powerful voice in contemporary ceramics.
