About this event

DermClub for Vets with A/Prof Mandy Burrows

In veterinary dermatology, we have to manage skin diseases that require the use of immunosuppressive therapy.

Glucocorticoids are the mainstay of treatment and at low dosages, they can be used as a monotherapy. In many cases, however, the use of long-term glucocorticoids creates significant adverse effects and multimodal immunosuppressive therapy is required.

This lecture will cover the commonly used immunosuppressive drugs used in clinical practice. The use of oclacitinib (Apoquel®) for immune mediated diseases will be discussed.
