Director General Dr Adam Tomison invites you to attend the Department of Justice’s inaugural Aboriginal Employee Conference and Dinner, to be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) on 21 - 22 November 2019.
If you are an Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Island staff member and would like to contribute to the current and future direction of your employment options - and to build relationships within the Department - this is your chance to be heard and to meet key stakeholders.
The conference, hosted by the DoJ’s Aboriginal Workforce Development Unit, is free to all Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander staff.
What will be covered?
There will be four workshops, as wells guest speakers. Key topics will include:
- Relationship and Networking
- Employee support
- Foundations of Aboriginal employment
- Career pathways.
If you register, it is mandatory that you attend all activities, including the Social Dinner on Thursday 21 November 2019
Conference registration will open at 8.00 am each day, for a 8.30 am sharp start. Morning and afternoon tea, as well as lunch will be provided on both days. Please advise of dietary requirements/allergies upon registration for the conference.
The dress code for Conference attendance is smart casual. The dinner is smart evening wear.
You are required to have your line manager’s approval to attend the conference before you register.
