Description

Do you care for a person with dementia?

The Dementia Education & Training for Carers is coordinated by the Commonwealth Respite & Carelink Centre Metro North and is held on a monthly basis. Come along to meet other carer’s while gaining information from our guest speakers. Take some time out for yourself, share a light lunch and afriendly chat.

Meaningful Activities - 10:30am - 11:30am

Karen Northey from Alzheimer’s Australia. Do you find it difficult to know how to fill the day with purpose for your loved one? Karen will be providing tips on activities to engage the person you care for with meaningful activities in the home.


Living Independently - 11:30am - 12:30pm

Marti Peach, Occupational Therapist from Independent Living Centre WA will provide information on aids, equipment and technology that can assist the person you care for to live as independently as possible.
