Description

Dementia Education and Training for Carers

Dementia Education & Training for Carers is coordinated by Commonwealth Respite & Carelink Centre Metro North, and is held on a monthly basis.

Are you interested in coming along? You will hear a range guest speakers provide information and supports to assist people who care for a family member or friend with dementia.

Dementia Education and Training for Carers (DETC) supports people who are caring for their family member or friend with dementia.

The group meet on a monthly basis and hear guest speakers talk about a range of different topics that aim to assist the carer in their role.

10:30am: Memory Nurture

Memory Nurture provides a Dementia intervention activity program that includes memory stimulation, activities and support. An Occupational Therapist will be presenting on the services available through this program and avenues to obtain funding.

12:00pm: Box n Dice

Peta from Box n Dice will have a range of activities and esources that can provide enjoyment to the person you care for. Items include memory anf cognition games, reminiscence books & DVD’s and a wide range of other resources.
