Description

#VOTE100 - DEEDS NOT WORDS:

2018 marks 100 years since Parliament passed a law which allowed some women, and all men, to vote for the first time.

Dr Helen Pankhurst, international development and women's rights activist, writer and grandaughter of former Redbridge resident and famous suffragette, Sylvia Pankhurst, joins residents of Redbridge for an interactive session on how much things have change for women since 1918.

Helen will bring some of the findings and quotes from the book, but also based on the views and experiences of those in the room.
