Learn how to make colourful, versatile and delicious choux buns!

About this event

Would like to learn how to make choux pastry but don’t know where to start? Have you had problems making choux pastry in the past or have you attempted making the pastry mix but it’s collapsed in the oven? It’s all in the timing and methods! Here’s your opportunity to learn the correct processes as well as the tips and tricks to make beautiful, fluffy choux pastry as well as how to fill your buns with a variety of fillings and decorate them.

Keva will demonstrate from start to finish how to create decorated choux buns, you will make choux pastry, fillings and decorations all from scratch, and join in at all stages of the class as this is always the best way to learn! There will be a maximum of 4 attendees per class, so there's plenty of opportunity for one on one teaching.

This class will last 3-4 hours, during this time you will learn how to:

• Make choux pastry from scratch

• Pipe choux pastry

• Bake choux pastry

• Make crème patissiere

• Make Chantilly cream

• Make craquelin

• Pipe & fill choux buns

• Decorate choux buns

• Use your oven effectively

• Troubleshoot

You will be given all of the recipes and methods and you will take home 12 x beautiful choux buns in a box, which you have make during the class, approximately valued at approximately $85.00.

Please note - small class of 4 students only, students must be 18 years. $225.00 per student (fee includes one person only), the full fee is payable upon booking to secure your place.

*** TERMS & CONDITIONS *** The class will only go ahead if all tickets are sold, in the case where they are not, the class will be cancelled and you will be given a refund. Refunds will not be given, if cancelled less than 30 days before the event. If you purchase a ticket and cannot attend the class last minute, you can send someone in your place, please make Sucre Patisserie aware of this change in advance.

Step into the Sucre Patisserie kitchen for a few hours and learn from award winning, international pastry chef Keva Freeman. With 20 years of experience in patisserie, bakery, chocolate, hotels and restaurants, you will learn all of the tips and tricks of the trade.
