Description

** Only 5 places available - Open to Teen Girls in highschool, Years 7-9 **

Rhiannon Bannenberg - Film Director, Cinematographer, Music Composer & Screenwriter is in Brisbane for FUEL's Workshop Intensives for ONE DAY ONLY!

Ever watched a movie or performance and felt your heart race? Your eyes well up? Your skin get goosebumps?

We can pretty much guarantee music played a massive role in the emotional reaction you had to whatever you were watching at the time. It has the power to transform a simple piece of imagery into something astoundingly powerful.

In this workshop intensive, Rhiannon (armed with her Masters in Music Composition from the Australian Institute of Music, Sydney) takes you through the techniques used to maximise the impact your music can have when applied to a project. An avid musician and teacher, Rhiannon has provided musical score for a number of publicly released film projects and is incredibly passionate about this particular area of creative expression.

In addition to introducing you to new approaches to your composition, she'll she light on:

  • How to approach projects for consideration
  • Finding composition partners and resources
  • Working with directors and producers when composing for others

Come away from this workshop fired up, inspired, and we're not going to lie: a little emotional :)

ABOUT RHIANNON:

Rhiannon is riding a career trajectory most artists under 30 could only dream of. Her latest feature film, Rip Tide, features Disney's ‘Jessie’ star Debby Ryan in the lead role and is just saw a national release from September 14 this year, followed by a worldwide release in 2018. While some may see her rise to rubbing shoulders with Disney royalty as rapid, having only learnt how to work a 5D Camera in her bedroom via YouTube videos the night before shooting her first feature in 2015 (!), it provides a perfect example of where tenacity, grit and bravery can take you.

(And don't miss her Feed The Beast Talk at 5:30pm Tues 5th Dec, also at Brisbane Powerhouse!
