Come and join this Death Cafe which allows a small group of us to have conversations that promotes relaxed conversations about death

About this event

A Death Café is a safe and relaxed place to gather with people, often strangers, to discuss topics related to death and dying. The objective is to engage in interesting, thought-provoking and life-affirming conversations. It is not a counselling or bereavement session, rather an opportunity “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.”

  • LIMITED NUMBERS (10) DUE TO LIBRARY MEETING ROOM RESTRICTIONS.
  • MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND.
  • BYO COFFEE /BEVERAGE - CAN PURCHASE FROM LOCAL CAFES NEAR LIBRARY
  • DRINKS CAN BE BROUGHT INTO LIBRARY BUT NO OTHER FOOD CAN BE TAKEN INTO LIBRARY
  • GO TO MAIN ENTRANCE OF ACTUAL LIBRARY - SCAN QR CODE FOR COVID-19 ATTENDANCE REGISTER (USING MOBILE OR ASK LIBRARY STAFF TO DO).

Organizer Jacqui Williams from End of Life Transitions

Organizer of Death Cafe ~ by the bay (Face 2 Face)

Jacqui’s career commenced with nursing working in a variety of palliative care roles. Recently becoming Australia’s first Willow EOL Educatorᵀᴹ , Jacqui’s passion is to focus on building Compassionate Communities which supports people living with a serious or terminal illness at the end of life; as well as supporting their loved ones, including into bereavement. Jacqui commenced her business, End of Life Transitions in 2018.
