Professor Toby Richards was recently appointed as the Lawrence-Brown Professor of Vascular Surgery at The University of Western Australia, having spent nine years at University College London (UCL).
In 2009 Professor Richards commenced at UCL as a Senior Lecturer in Surgery before being promoted to Professor in 2015. He has led a series of international clinical trials and supervised a successful cohort of both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Professor Richards has been an invited speaker at over 75 international conferences in the last five years and is a key opinion leader on clinical trials in Patient Blood Management and Vascular Surgery. He is a board member of NATA (the international association for Patient Blood Management), Australian Clinical Trials Alliance, and working group member for the NHS Blood and Transplant, British Blood Transfusion Society, Vascular Society Research and Vascular Endovascular Research Network.
The lecture will be followed by light refreshments.
