Daylong Mindfulness Retreat

This Daylong Retreat is the perfect opportunity for you to step out of the busyness of life, relax, reboot and regain some perspective.
You will enjoy six hours of mostly silent, guided mindfulness practice and instruction. There will be opportunities to:
- learn the fundamentals of mindfulness and the postures of meditation
- practice sitting, walking and compassion meditations
- experience mindful eating and techniques for mindfulness in daily life
- ask questions and connect with like-minded others
The South Brisbane Sailing Club, overlooking the river and opening onto beautiful Orliegh Park, is an ideal location for a daylong mindfulness retreat. Treat yourself. Invite others to share this day of companionable silence, expert mindfulness instruction and guided practice.
You will need to bring a packed lunch, water bottle, yoga mat &/or blanket, cushions for sitting on the floor and perhaps a wrap or blanket in case it gets cool. Some chairs are available but need a cushion.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing; and shoes that are easily slipped off and on.
Please arrive by 9.50 am so that you have time to settle and take your seat before we begin at 10.00 am. The program will end at 4 pm.
Since 2012, acclaimed mindfulness teacher, Dr Sharn Rocco has offered more than twenty daylong retreats in eleven locations – Barraba, Bathurst, Bendemeer, Black Head, Brisbane, Charters Towers, Dalby, Japoonvale, Magnetic Island, The Garrison Institute NY and Townsville.
