What a time of the year to walk to Falls!

About this event

We start our walk at the magnificent Lake Daylesford.

We will follow the trail on the south-western side of the lake and walk along the dam wall turning north onto the Peace Mile track.

Here we will continue around the Lake for 1km turning left up the steep footpath track to join the Ballan-Daylesford Road.

We continue our walk to the Cornish Hill Lookout via Stanbridge Street to the Daylesford Skate Park.

Entering the park we then will follow the Lerderderg Track of the Great Dividing Trail as it crosses a network of trails through to Patterson Street.

Now we continue south along the race to the Jubilee Lake viewing platform. This is a good spot for a break and admiring the lake which was constructed in 1860.

With twists and turns down various track we head towards Sailors Lakes where we we can enjoy the beauty of the falls and enjoy some lunch.

After lunch we will walk along Sailors Creek on the Wallaby Track and across the bridge to Sailors Falls Mineral Springs and follow the water race north heading back towards Lake Daylesford.
