Description

An Evening at SAHMRI: Fighting Cancer With The Immune System!

There have been recent major breakthroughs in the treatment of some cancers that allow our immune system to kill tumours. Find out more at a free series of public lectures that we are hosting to celebrate Day of Immunology.

SAHMRI is home to in excess of 600 medical researchers and is South Australia's first independent flagship health and medical research institute. The institute conducts collaborative interdisciplinary research with South Australia’s three universities and the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Step inside one of the most iconic and advanced buildings in the southern hemisphere, and join us for a night of Immunology to see the state of the art facility and gain a deeper understanding of why medical research plays such a vital role in our community. Come and hear from some of the top local scientists in tumour therapies in South Australia, Professor Deb White, Professor Simon Barry, Dr. Tessa Garget, and Ms. Carly Whyte.

When: Friday 27th April 5.30 - 9 pm

Where: SAHMRI Auditorium, North Terrace, Adelaide

Tickets are free, and light refreshments will be provided.
