Event description
Bringing together experts in Machine Learning and Earth Sciences to discuss the power of Artificial Intelligence within this sector.

About this event

Innovation Central Perth and the Curtin University Oil & Gas Innovation Centre invites you to our workshop as part of this year's Data Science Week: Unlocking the Power of AI in Earth Sciences.

Through decades of extensive research, the great potential of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods has now been established in various areas of science and technology. More recently, methods based on deep learning and data analytics have captured the attention of the geoscience community.

This workshop at Innovation Central Perth (ICP) plans to bring together experts from Earth Sciences and Machine Learning communities across WA. The workshop will provide a forum for discussion on topics relevant to both academia and industry, facilitating networking and establishing collaborations between different research sectors.

We expect this event will assist in identifying the R&D requirements for the development of methods capable of handling high accuracy large datasets routinely acquired by mineral and oil-and-gas companies.

*Seating is limited for this event, registration is required. _________________________________________________________________________________
