Event description

Description

What are the privacy law requirements for not-for-profits? And what do recent legislation changes mean for your organisation?

This session, presented in partnership with Justice Connect, will cover the basic requirements for not-for-profits under the Australian Privacy Principles, and the practical measures you can take to meet your organisation’s legal standard when collecting, using, disclosing and storing personal information.

Participants will also be taken through an outline of significant developments in privacy law in 2018, including an overview of the Data Breach Notification Scheme, its key requirements and early trends.

Join this 60-minute webinar, presented by sector expert Mae Tanner, to learn:

  • What steps your not-for-profit should be taking to keep client files and other personal information secure and well-managed
  • How to be ready to respond to a data breach or privacy complaint
  • What the EU GDPR Scheme is, and whether it's likely to cover your not-for-profit

In listening in, you'll gain exclusive insight into an area of law that is increasingly important for charities and NFPs – organisations who traditionally hold large amounts of sensitive information.

In this interactive session, you'll have the chance to have your questions answered live by Mae Tanner.

Who should attend: CEOs and boards of not-for-profits, and anyone in an executive or management level role involving oversight of compliance, reporting and risk management should tune in to brush up on their privacy law knowledge.

Post Webinar Pack:

Can’t make the date? No worries! All registered participants will be sent a post webinar pack. The packs include the audio and visual recordings, slide deck, and (if purchased) the webinar book. The webinar book includes the session’s transcript with corresponding slides, the live chat stream and presenter notes.
