Darebin values the work provided by all educators within our municipality and recognises this through the provision of an exciting and informative network.  If you wish you had the opportunity to meet with other like minded educators working in the area, or wanted to keep up to date with the most current and relevant issues within the industry, this is the network for you. And yes we still provide you this great opportunity for FREE.

Topics chosen for discussion are based on educator feedback.

Wednesday 21 February - Having difficult conversations with families Presentor -Angela Ditchmen

Angela is a dynamic and engaging speaker who specialisies in Professional development for Early Childhood Educators. Her wealth of experience and knowledge ensures she is always providing the most up to date and relevant subject content. Previous presentations include:-

  • Information sessions for parents
  • Individual consultancy to LDC,FDC OSHC, Occasional Care, Play groups and kindergartens
  • Delivery of accredited training (Certificate & Diploma level)
  • Delivery of government initiatives : VEYLF, EYLF, GRANDFATHERING,NQS
  • Designing Children’s Gardens (LDC)

Thursday 21 June - Winter solstice mid year celebrations freaturing guest speaker/entertainer Nelly Thomas - Mental Health and Wellbeing. "Who's looking after you"

All sessions run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Darebin North East Community Hub, 35 Copernicus Crescent, Bundoora.  Light refreshments are provided from 6.00pm. You are also welcome to bring along your own food, or purchase food from one of the conviently located cafes.
