Event description
What's your call to courage in 2020?

About this Event

Close out the year with the confidence to step into 2020 with a newfound skillset of bravery and courage.

"In the past, jobs were about muscles, now they're about brains, but in the future, they'll be about the heart" Dame Minouche Shafik Director of the London School of Economics

  • As a Leader, can you navigate risk, uncertainty and change?
  • Can you lean into difficult conversations?
  • Can you give feedback when its hard?
  • Can you lean into the uncomfortable?

This program is designed for Leaders or anyone passionate about accelerating their performance, who wants to show up, be brave and create environments where they inspire others around them to do the same.

In today’s ever-changing world, bravery and courage is essential to maximising relationships, creating engaged cultures, propelling performance and increasing organisational resilience. At the centre of all of this is vulnerability; our pathway to courage and the birthplace of innovation, creativity and trust.

Brené Brown’s research tells us that courage is a collection of four skills sets that are all learnable, teachable and measurable. In this 2-day highly interactive and transformative program you will:

  • Learn the four skill sets of courage
  • Rumble with vulnerability
  • Build resilience skills
  • Activate power of empathy to fuel connection
  • Explore empathy fails and misses
  • Understand the difference between Armoured vs Daring Leadership
  • Develop grounded confidence
  • Get gritty on your values
  • Learn how to navigate courageous conversations and feedback

And naturally when you live more courageously, you will have setbacks, you will fail, you will feel disappointment… we will show you how to rise strong again.

Support before and after the Dare to Lead™ Program

We believe that you develop new skills and behaviours when you take your learnings and put them into practice within your daily life at work and home. To support you on your learning journey we provide valuable pre-work and post work to optimise your learning during the program. This includes articles, exercises and resources 4 weeks following the program. In addition, you will be invited to join our Dare to Lead™ Alumni LinkedIn group at the end of the program so you can connect, share and learn with others who are also on their journey of living their life with more courage and bravery. This also provides a great hub of resources, inspiration and information for you to use.

Feedback from our Dare to Lead™ Graduates

"The energy in the room was really positive and was perfect to learn the content. Angela is a great facilitator who gives 100% of herself to her students"

"Well done on a fantastic two days for the Dare to Lead™ Program. The content, context and practical examples were excellent. I’m grateful for the opportunity. There was great energy and people in the room. The venue was perfect.

I really enjoyed the content, and the vulnerability. The handbook is going to be very useful but moreso the increased awareness and continual shift in the mind is where I found it to be very valuable.

Congratulations on running a great program."

Director

" I have had the opportunity to attend many many training course and self development courses both within Australia, the US and Europe during my 35+ years of working in the Corporate sector. I am very clear, that I found the Dare to Lead 2 days the most challenging and insightful – really prompting me to look at and into myself….very powerful and rewarding.

Thank you for the opportunity and experience"
