Event description

Description

Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program for leaders, teams and individuals.

A leader is defined as anyone who takes responsibility for recognising the potential in people and ideas and has the courage to develop that potential. Now more than ever, education spaces and organisations need daring leaders!

For those who are just getting to know her work, Brené has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and most recently completed a seven-year study on courageous leadership. The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable.

The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills to help individuals, teams and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.

Held over two days, this challenging program is one of the most sought-after leadership and culture interventions globally to build sustainability into organisations that will survive into the next decades of rapid change.

This Dare to Lead program is being held specifically for those working in the education space, from Principals through to classroom teachers (who lead small humans in their learning!) as well as School Counsellors and Head Teachers/Leaders of Wellbeing and various levels of the executive.

We'll tailor some of the content to school and teaching specific examples, and the challenges of schools as VUCA spaces and 21st-century learning and the future of work.

Not yet! But we are applying for this to be accredited with NESA and hope (will endeavor hard, but no promises) to have it examined by NESA. Check back with us in mid-January and we should have a definite answer.
