DARE 2017

...tender hearts, fervent prayers, fierce convictions

The heart behind DARE is to unite, encourage and pour strength into women across generations to DARE mighty things; to step out and say 'yes' to God's unique purpose for our lives.

Guest Speakers:

Sally Poyzer (Portlife Church)

Sally is a Pastor at Portlife Church - a vibrant life-giving church in Port Adelaide. Passionate about training and equipping women to be all that God has called them to be, Sally communicates practical wisdom with kindness, honesty and conviction. Married to Josh (Senior Pastor at Portlife Church) they have two children, Promise & Rockford. Last year Sally published her first book, That Book for Wives - an easy to read, biblically-based book written to help wives enjoy being married. Her down-to-earth leadership and genuine heart for people has seen her journey alongside women of all ages & stages in life. Sally's warmth & love for Jesus is contagious and she will be a great encouragement to us at DARE 2017!

Rebekah Matson (Alice Springs CFC)

Living in Alice Springs with her family, Rebekah loves Jesus fiercely and loves people wholeheartedly. A Pastor at Christian Family Centre (CFC) Alice Springs, Rebekah is a dynamic and engaging speaker and leader. Working alongside her husband Ben (Alice Springs CFC's Lead Pastor), as well as homeschooling their three boys Elijah, Josiah and Zion, Rebekah is passionate about helping people come to a realisation of their new identity in Christ. Her compassion and empathy can be seen in her servant hearted way of life: always making time for others; often willing to be inconvenienced to offer practical support & lasting hope. Her resilient faith, life example & reliance on God will inspire each one of us this year at DARE!


Event Details

DARE 2017 includes both a Leadership Dinner and a Day Gathering, designed to strengthen your heart and embolden you to lean in to your unique purpose - whatever the season, wherever your sphere of influence.

DARE Leadership Dinner, Friday 25th August: 6:30 arrival for 7pm start -through to 9:30pm*

A night of great food, friendship & leaning in: women across generations who want to start or grow in their leadership capacity, learn from one another & champion others to live with purpose.

*For women who are leading in any capacity in church ministry or their chosen field of work - including paid, volunteer, and or, home / raising children - plus potential leaders. Includes 3-course Sumptuous Dinner / Panel Discusssion / Live Music / Q+A. Online registration preferred. You may also be able to register via a CFC church up until Sunday August 20, 2017.


DARE Day Gathering, August 26 2017: 9:30am for 10am start- through to 5pm*

A day of uncovering and rediscovering the wonderful, wild adventure of following Jesus; a day of listening & learning from one another: a day where generations of women will cheer one another on to say 'yes' to the custom designed plan for our lives. Stories will be exchanged in an atmosphere of faith, worship & encouragement; stories of everyday amazing women; stories of tender hearts, fervent prayers and fierce convictions; but ultimately, the unfolding story of our Heavenly Father, who invites His women to DARE...

*For all women high school age upwards. Includes light morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Online registration preferred. You may also be able to register via a CFC church up until Sunday August 20, 2017.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?


VIA VALET / SHUTTLE SERVICE

If you are uncertain about driving into the Adelaide CBD on your own, we'd like to help! Please contact your DARE Team Representative via a local CFC church who can let you know about any valet / shuttle services available. This way, you can park your car at a CFC church and be transported straight to the venue and then back to your car once your ticketed DARE event finishes. Alternatively, you can enquire / express interest in a valet/shuttle service by emailing Michella Hunter - michellah@familycentre.org.au.

City South Tram stop on King William St (1-minute walk to venue)


VIA CAR

*A variety of paid ticket and free street parking is available on Sturt St and adjacent streets. There are lots of free parking options after 6pm on Friday nights however these can fill up quickly if an AFL Game is on at Adelaide Oval. Please pay attention to time limits for Saturday parking and Permit Zones. We encourage women wherever possible to car pool with a group of friends, allow enough time to find parking and arrive at the venue half an hour before start time.

STREET PARKING

  • STURT ST (southern side) - $2 ticket parking for 2 hours max from 8am-12noon on Saturdays, free after 12 noon

  • KING WILLIAM ST - $2 ticket parking for 3 hours max from 8am-12noon on Saturdays, free after 12 noon

  • RUSSEL ST - $2 ticket parking for 3 hours max from 8am-12noon on Saturdays, free after 12 noon

  • PEACOCK ROAD - Free all day parking (10-minute walk to venue)

CAR PARKING STATIONS

  • WILSON PARKING - 15 Halifax St. $5 flat rate on Saturdays *20 spaces only* (3-minute walk to venue)

  • AUTOPARK- 19-21 Mill St. $10 flat rate for over 1 hour (3-minute walk to venue)

  • ADELAIDE CAR PARKING - 11 Wright St. $15 for up to 12 hours (3-minute walk to venue)



Is there an age limit for the event?

Yes. This event is open to all women across the generations from highschool age upwards. I.e. Junior Youth girls through to 100+ girls


Will be there be a Registered Kids Program for this Event?

Mums with newborn or young babies are welcome to bring their precious little ones along with them to our DARE Leadership Dinnner on Friday August 25 (baby changing facilities are available). For our DARE Day Gathering on Saturday August 26, there will be a Mums'N'Bub's room and baby changing facilities available if you need to be with your baby/young toddler while watching sessions. A sign in/sign out kids program will not be in operation during this event. If you are parenting on your own, would like to attend but do not have an available option for child care please speak with a DARE 2017 Event Team representative from your church or email Michella Hunter - michellah@familycentre.org.au




Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes. Please email michellah@familycentre.org.au before Friday, August 18 2017 if you would like to transfer a registration / ticket for this event to another woman.



Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

If you have registered online you will need to bring either your printed Event Ticket or e-Ticket via Eventbrite app to gain entry to both DARE Leadership Dinner (Friday PM), and or, DARE Day Gathering (Saturday). If you have registered & paid, in person through a CFC church, you will be able to collect your ticket from our DARE Registration Desk upon arrival. Payment must be received prior to entry to this event.




What is the refund policy?

Once registered, if you are unable to attend this event or transfer your ticket for another woman to attend, you can cancel your registration by emailing michellah@familycentre.org.au before Friday Aug 18, 2017 and you will be issued a full refund (minus online booking fee from Eventbrite). To ensure our catering costs are covered, if you choose to cancel your registration after Friday Aug 18, 2017, you will forfeit your full ticket price and no refund wil be able to be provided.


Will you have Disabled Toilet/Facility access at this event?

Yes.



Can any woman attend or only those connected to a CFC church?

All women (highschool age upwards) are welcome. *Please note - there will be Christian content at this event.




What if I have specific dietary requirements?

You can include these when registering / purchasing any ticket. Online registrations are preferred however you can also speak with your DARE Event Team representative at a CFC church when registering in person OR email specific dietary requirements to michellah@familycentre.org.au before Friday Aug 18, 2017.
