About this event

The DANCE Therapy WORKSHOP has created a unique blend of Wu Tao DANCE (www.wutaodance.com) movements, breathing technic, art therapy, guided meditations, affirmations and visualisations designed to create positive change in your mind and body and to discover a positive connection with YOURSELF.

As we honour the seasons and start to draw in, let your Local Licensed Instructor ELENA Petersen take you on a THREE HOURS journey of our live in Winter season through dance, gentle stretches, art therapy, music therapy, meditation and self love celebrating who you are and who you want to be.

In three hours you WILL:

For people WHO LOVE TO DANCE, Wu Tao Dance Therapy is the ultimate stress management system and an enjoyable healthy exercise program.

DANCE, FIND JOY and HEAL!

Founded in Oriental medicine, Wu Tao DANCE Therapy restores balance on all levels and brings you the peace you crave.

Wu Tao Dance Therapy is a series of flowing dances choreographed to music which connects you to your ‘QI’ or ‘life force’ energy. You learn how to reconnect to your true self through the healing nature of dance and meditation, to experience profound balance and peace. It’s organic, innovative and dynamic, and can be practiced by everyone. Suitable for all ages including seniors.

The dances and meditations were created in 2000 by Michelle Locke, a former dancer with the Western Australia Ballet Company and founder of the first school of shiatsu massage in Australia. The beautiful, authentic music used for the dances and meditations, have been specially composed by the respected Australian musician, Steve Richter.

Recognised by International Institute for Complementary Therapy IICT.

Your local Certified Licensed Instructor Elena is very passionate about the 'Wu Tao - The Dancing Way' exercise program and with every spare moment she will step in to teach the Wu Tao Therapy dances where ever she goes.

With over 25 years of diverse experiences, Elena has been dedicating her professional life to business development projects all over the World. She volunteers her time working with charities around the world – including a Youth Life Coach in Europe, a Founder of ‘Creative Learning’ - a Special Education project in Europe, a DanceForFun Mentor for Youth in USA, in Australia, Mindfulness and Meditation Coach as well as being a 'Wu Tao - The Dancing Way' Instructor in New Zealand, USA and Australia since 2006.

Wu Tao is an enjoyable way to rediscover the joy of dance and healing of relaxing music and gentle movements. This program is for any age group and for any abilities with no dance experience required. Seniors are welcome.

Wu Tao can help to:
