Dance Nation

Tickets are now on sale for our ‘Dance Nation Schools Spectacular’ held at the Royal Theatre in the National Convention Centre on Thursday 30th June.

Ticket sales of $35 include video footage of the performance - tickets at the door are $35 and do not include video footage.

Doors open 6pm, concert commences at 6.30pm.

Dance Nation is a school arts program for school aged students uniquely designed to build within each individual a sense of identity, belonging, pride and legacy.

Over a 13-week period hundreds of young people from across the ACT region are engaged in learning, designing, rehearsing and performing their showcase piece in a vibrant atmosphere that enables them to shine.

Dance Nation increases community connectedness by allowing cluster schools and schools within the whole network to work together and celebrate Canberra.

Each school is provided with a weekly dance coach in residence during school terms to work with teachers and students to develop a dance performance production around a positive theme that builds school culture. The theme for the 2022 Dance Nation program is “UNITE”
