The Lyrical Possibilities of Light

Explore the creative possibilities of light in hands-on photography workshops with documentary photographer Joe Ruckli. Learn to use everyday materials to manipulate light, and craft evocative images that transform ordinary objects and scenes into something extraordinary.

Part 1: Takes place in the gallery, reimagining it as a DIY photographer’s studio.  

Part 2: Involves a collaboratively produced landscape photograph/s using Joe’s camera on-location, jointly experimenting with a ‘painting with light’ technique at dusk. Each participant will be provided an archival print of the final co-authored landscape photograph/s to collect from the gallery after the workshop.  

All materials provided. No photography experience required and suitable for all abilities. Bring your own smart phone or digital camera and a bottle of water. Closed in shoes required.
