Cycling in Parramatta: Community Workshop
Wed. 7 December 2016, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm AEDT
What is this workshop about?
This workshop is part of the development of the new City of Parramatta Bike Plan. It is an important opportunity for residents, business owners, workers and visitors in Parramatta, to help develop a sustainable, integrated transport system that will support the creation of Australia's next great city.
Who should attend?
We are keen for all of our community to participate, especially those who are interested in cycling but do not currently cycle.
We are also very interested in understand what we need to do to support women, children and people from different cultural backgrounds to start cycle and cycle more.
We are also keen for local businesses to participate, to see how cycling could assist them, both for getting their staff to and from work, and potentially for business purposes.
If we exceed the maximum group size of 30, we will have to select a group that is as representative as possible of the community
What we'll do at this event?
Following a short introduction to the project, participants will work in groups of 6 to discuss key barriers and opportunities for a range of trips. At the end, we will prioritise these outcomes.
Light refreshments will be provided, and all participants will receive a $50 Coles/Myer gift card as a thank you for your time.
What if I cannot make this date?
If you are unable to attend, you can also participate through the:
Online community survey, which you can find here
