Cyber Security in 2016 - the study of plate tectonics at light speed

The presentation will focus on providing a contemporary view of Cyber/Info Security in 2016. Specifically, the macro level forces that are shaping the industry as well as some of the issues, challenges and opportunities that the industry presents to the Business Analysis profession. Shannon will discuss cyber security as a business enabler rather than a block to progress, as well as where BA’s add value to cyber security. The discussion will conclude with some insights into the cyber security job market and where there are good opportunities for the BA to transition into cyber security.
Shannon Lane, Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer - Shearwater
Shannon is a highly respected cyber security professional and former Chief Information Security Officer. With global consulting experience across finance, utilities, government, gaming, retail, and telecommunications, Shannon has spent much of his 15 years in the cyber security industry running cyber security companies. He has been active in the development and promotion of International Security Standards, and provides insightful industry commentary for business.
