Your Presenter is Josh Angus

Josh is a digital native and resident digital expert. He has undertaken extensive digitalisation in his own business, businesses he has worked with and performed projects with measurable results for satisfied customers.

Guest Speaker is Ted Egan who is a technology entrepreneur, co-founding multiple security technology companies since 1997. He is a thought leader and industry advisor with over 25 years’ experience in Cybersecurity, Risk and Digital Identity Solutions with the last decade focused specifically on developing and delivering mission critical, risk based digital identity and fraud prevention solutions primarily used in financial services, banking, payments, lending, e-commerce/retail, and government industries.

In 2005 Ted co-founded TrustDefender and merged in 2011 with fellow Australian company, ThreatMetrix. The technology went on to be embedded into over 6000 brands, of which include over 1000 financial institutions and over 300m mobile aps, servicing over 240 countries and territories, completing over 4 billion transactions per month. The ThreatMetrix technology protects business worldwide from over a 1 billion cyberattacks annually including but not limited to Bots, malware, phishing, money mules and social engineering.

In 2017, ThreatMetrix went on to be positioned ahead of leading technology companies such as IBM, RSA, Computer Associates and LexisNexis by leading technology analyst companies such as Forrester, Gartner, Javelin and Aite Group. However in January 2018, ThreatMetrix was successfully purchased by the (Dutch Anglo listed) Relx Group suite of companies for over a billion AUD.

Following the acquision by LexisNexis Risk, Ted stayed on to transition ThreatMetrix and grow their global footprint until June 2020 where Ted decided to take a different path focusing on family, his family business and helping Australian tech start-ups navigate the challenges of building their own global businesses.
