Event description

Description

Cyber security presents one of the great challenges, now and into the future. When UK patients had critical heart surgery or chemotherapy delayed, as happened during the recent WannaCry incident, the human impact of cyber becomes very apparent.

Cyber security, as with many other aspects of technology, can be elusive for vulnerable cohorts and the Not-for-Profit organisations that support them.

Larger enterprises and Government are well resourced and actively engagement in defending against cyber threat, but what about the Not-for-Profit sector?

You are invited to join us for a complimentary workshop and panel discussion, designed for human services-oriented organisations in the Not-for-Profit sector to discuss contemporary issues around cyber defence.

This is non-technical session, designed for Senior Executives and decision-makers within the sector. Our expert presenters will share with you their experiences, explore risk and key mitigation strategies and provide a suite of tools and resources to assist.

A panel discussion at the end will provide time to ask specific questions of our experts and explore future options.

Presenting is:

  • Jordan Foster: Founder of ySafe and e-safety expert who helps organisations and parents manage cyber risks for children.

  • Brian Smith: Chief Information Security Manager at Woodside Energy.

  • Fiona Payne: An experienced Board director with extensive human services experience in government and community.
