Cyber Event Protection Insurance with Jason Matthey
Tue. 21 March 2017, 6:45 am – 8:45 am AEST
Jason began his Insurance career in 1991 as an Office Junior, learning the old fashion way in a corporate environment. After many years sticking with the one Corporation in Zurich Financial Services Australia Ltd, Jason advanced up the ranks from Personal Claims management, Business Insurance portfolio management through to being the face of Zurich Insurance for the insurance broking community in South East Qld and Regional Central Qld in the capacity of Sales and Marketing Business Development Manager.
With over 14 years of experience in Corporate Insurance, Jason ventured out in the Commercial Broking environment himself, working for 2.5 years with a Brisbane based bespoke insurance broking house in Spring Hill. Following on from this in 2009, Jason has branched on with his own office in the Northern Brisbane suburb of Brendale, providing Commercial Insurance Solutions for a diverse portfolio of businesses built up over a 7 year period of servicing both local and nationwide business customers.
Through the years times have certainly changed in the insurance landscape, with new insurance risks emerging constantly, such as the infrastructure of the information society, websites and the “internet of things”. (IoT or the internet of things, is the internetworking of physical devices, vehicles (also referred to as "connected devices" and "smart devices"), buildings, and other items—embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity that enable these objects to collect and exchange data.)
Having many years of experience with insurance for all types of risks to businesses, Jason has offered to present a summary of an emerging insurance solution – Cyber Event Protection and the benefits of this type of insurance in the modern business landscape.
The presentation will show a short 6 min video of a Cyber Event Scenario and another video 4mins approx.. which will summarise what Cyber Event Protection Insurance is all about. Jason is more than willing to take questions at the end of the presentation and enter into a group discussion on the risks for your business operating in the world of the “internet of things”.
