Event description
An immersive two day workshop exploring many of the creative possibilities of cyanotype printing.

About this Event

with printmaker Melissa Proposch

2 consecutive Sundays

19 & 26 April, 10am-3pm

$220 plus $45 materials

The original blueprints, cyanotypes, are made with a photographic print process that produces a cyan blue image. Cyanotype is a non-toxic printmaking process and considered one of oldest alternative photographic processes.

In this 2 day workshop, create multiple, original cyanotype prints using a range of techniques and approaches:

• working with photosensitive emulsions and UV light

• making photograms

• working with positives and negatives

• hand-made negatives, stencils and readymades

BYO lunch or purchase from Castlemaine.

Melissa Proposch is an experienced practicing printmaker and teacher. She provides professional fine art print editioning services through Mirror Fish Editioning. She is also an exhibiting member of Goldfields Printmakers and a founding member and Vice Chair of Castlemaine Press.
