Description

Red Cross NSW Archive

With Alison Wishart

What do a teddy bear, a dress pattern and a fundraising poster have in common?
They are all part of the Red Cross NSW Division Archive.

For the past three years, librarians and curators at the State Library have been working with volunteers and staff at the Red Cross NSW to transfer nearly 600 boxes of documents, posters, photographs and memorabilia to the Library. This event will showcase the archive and discuss its significance.

The Library is honoured to be the recipient and custodian of the Red Cross NSW Archive. This invaluable collection documents the creation, growth and evolution of one of the state’s premier community organisations. Join us as we discuss the importance of the collection and thank the volunteers who have worked with the collection.
