About this event
Kaya!
The Noongar Country Exhibition has been an annual highlight in the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery calendar for over 20 years. This year the artists have responded to the theme Kaarla Koort-ak: Woonya, Moort, Boodja, [Hearts on Fire: Fire, Family, Country].
Showcasing work from established and emerging Indigenous artists residing on Noongar Boodja, this exhibition highlights the many styles, stories and talents of the region.
The exhibition coincides with Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week, and is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate, learn and listen to the rich history, strong living culture, and artistic voice of First Nations people.
Hear discussion about the works selected for exhibition, the individual stories of Noongar Country, and reflect on what it means to be on Country together.
Boorda – See you soon!
