Event Information
About this event
Join artist Jasmine Sarin in conversation with Woollahra Gallery Coordinator Sebastian Goldspink as they discuss Jasmine's career, creative process and the story behind her work Gadigal Connection, featured on the stairs of Woollahra Library at Double Bay.
Jasmine is a proud Kamilaroi and Jerrinja woman of NSW. She is an emerging Aboriginal artist and graphic designer as well as the founder of JS Koori Designs which fuses together Aboriginal art and urban life in metropolitan NSW. Her artwork tells the story of her experiences growing up and the aim to bring contemporary methods and materials to one of the oldest cultures on earth.
Sebastian Goldspink is an independent curator. A proud descendant of the Burramattagal people of Western Sydney, Goldspink has curated exhibitions throughout Australia and internationally. In 2022 he curated the Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art for the Art Gallery of Australia. Sebastian is a frequent speaker, interviewer and is currently engaged as Gallery Coordinator for the Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf.
