Culture in banking and finance: Who’s really responsible?
Tue. 22 November 2016, 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm AEDT
As the banking and finance industry leaders seek to manage risks and ensure their institutions have the trust and confidence of customers and the community, they are increasingly referring to culture. Everyone seems to agree that culture is important. But who is really responsible to establish the right culture? And how much impact can senior management really make in setting and changing work cultures?
We will hear from a range of people within the industry that are considered to have both responsibilities for, and influence on workplace cultures.
The panel will comprise
Regulator, Greg Medcraft ASIC
Director, Sally Herman, Suncorp, Premier Investments Limited, Breville Group Limited.
Chief Executive Officer, Rob Priestley, J.P Morgan
Human Resources, Peter Wilson, Chairman of Australian Human Resources Institute
Educator, Prof Paul Kofman Dean and Sidney Myer Chair of Commerce, Faculty of Business and Economics, The University of Melbourne
The Individual, Clare Payne The Banking and Finance Oath,
Joanne Gray, Editor, Boss and Leadership at Fairfax Media will be moderating.
We expect a lively discussion as each panel member is asked how they see and manage their responsibility for, and influence on workplace culture?
