As export becomes more accessible & your business continues to grow globally, understand the importance of culture in South Korean business.

About this Event

PLEASE NOTE: this workshop is available to South Australian businesses ONLY .

As the global marketplace becomes more accessible and your business continues to expand globally, understanding the importance of culture in business can go a long way in furthering your company’s goals.

Understanding cultural differences can provide telling insights and help to facilitate conversations and negotiations. While some confusion can often lead to amusing misunderstandings, it can also make a serious impact on your business relationships.

Have you wondered how you can access the untapped potential opportunities for your business in this market?

Korea has one of the most homogeneous populations in the world. Korea has its own culture, language, dress and cuisine, separate and distinct from its neighbouring countries. They take pride in their traditional culture and their modern economic success and greatly appreciate it when foreigners show recognition of Korean national achievements.

Korean consumers will continue to demand high quality food, beverage, consumer goods and education, health care and medical technologies that Australia can provide. The South Korean market is a favourite among many foreign businesses. However, while the country’s thriving economy, liberalising marketplace and widespread use of English in business make it an appealing choice to many Australian exporters; there are some significant cultural differences and challenges to be aware of.

This 2 hour online workshop aims to help participants understand the cultural differences in business to enable them to develop successful relationships in South Korea.

Who should attend?

This workshop is best suited to senior management, business owners and import/export team members.
