Event description

Description

NCLS Research invites academics and researchers to attend a research colloquium on cultural diversity and churches, featuring visiting scholar Dr Korie Edwards, President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion.

Dr Edwards' research is driven by her passion about and commitment to matters of racial justice and diversity in the church. She leads the most in-depth, comprehensive project ever conducted on leaders of multiracial congregations, the Religious Leadership and Diversity Project (www.rldp.net).

The colloquium features keynote addresses by Dr Edwards and Dr Powell (NCLS Research Director); an outline of NCLS data available to researchers; sharing of other researchers' related projects; an opportunity for networking and planning future collaboration.

Participating researchers are invited to share their area of research in a brief presentation up to 5 minutes and/or provide a poster describing their research (A3 BYO) which will be displayed in common areas during breaks. Expressions of interest to share your research or display a poster can be made when registering. Please confirm your interest by 7th March 2018.

The event includes morning tea, lunch and handouts.

We hope you will join us.
