Cultural Awareness on Country Tour - 4 December 2020

Come along and participate in a new way of learning that is sweeping the training sector with excellent results while providing you with hands-on experience.
Richie Allan, Ngunnawal Lore Keeper, will provide a Cultural Awareness on Country Tour to give participants some hands-on experience while providing valuable local understanding and appreciation of the Ngunnawal land on which we all live and work.
To understand cultural awareness is to understand the history of the Aboriginal cultures.
This cultural awareness program will give you:
- Aboriginal history
- Spirituality
- Ngunnawal songlines
- Ngunnawal Dreaming stories
- Cultural connection
- Cultural protocols
- Cultural diversity
- Cultural relationship building.
You will visit Mulligans Flat and see the Land through the eyes of the Traditional custodians. The Ngunnawal People.
*No prerequisites needed. Appropriate foot wear must be worn.
NB: Participants must attend the full day, and arrive at 9am sharp to depart at 9.30am.
Participants will be required to transport themselves to and from the venue.
You can find a map marking the place at which to meet Richie Allan with a red cross, which is the car park off Amy Ackman Street at Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve.
