Join us for lunch on Thursday 19 September, and hear from James Madden from Flinders + Co

Flinders + Co started out its company life with a different name. Initially known as Flinders Island Meat, the father-son start-up bought a small abattoir nine years ago on a remote island in Bass Strait. Fast forward to today and the company has evolved and pivoted from those humble beginnings as a boutique meat processor, into a purpose driven food enterprise, with a singular vision – to help cultivate a better food world.

As the Maddens say: "We’re a dedicated team with a bold vision for the future. We’re leaders and listeners, collaborators and innovators, partners and suppliers. We want to do more than simply ‘sell meat’. We want to help Cultivate a Better Food World." Towards this goal, on 1 December 2018, Flinders + Co became the first meat company in the world to fully offset all carbon emissions from not only the business, but every kilogram of meat they sell.
