Join Stephen Mayne (Communications Advisor & Founder Crikey) and Graeme Wise (Adidem Group & WISE Foundation) for lunch at Huntingdale Golf Club on Thursday 22 November, where we will delve into the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility and why as an organisational policy it can improve your triple bottom line.

Corporate Social Responsiblity is a MBA award category and we want to get you excited about its value to your business.

Stephen Mayne is a Walkley Award winning journalist who for almost 10 years worked as a reporter, business editor, gossip columnist and chief of staff for newspapers including The Herald Sun, The Age, The Daily Telegraph and The Australian Financial Review. In February 2000, Stephen launched

Crikey is now Australia's best known independent ezine with 15,000 paying subscribers for the daily email with more than 1.5 million page views on its website each month.

These days, Stephen is a humble Crikey contributor who is also pursuing shareholder activism through his new corporate governance ezine and videoblog,

As Australia's best known shareholder activist, Stephen claims to have "the world's biggest small share portfolio" with tiny investments in more than 700 Australian companies.

Graeme Wise is responsible for bringing the Body Shop to Australia in 1983. Since then, he has initiated, developed and operated many social projects with the purpose of strengthening communities. He is a powerful advocate for the notion that business people applying business principles to social problems can provide powerful solutions, and that business is about more than economic success. Graeme believes a great business should also balance the needs of all stakeholders as well as create positive social and environmental change.

Graeme operated the Body Shop Australiasia for 31 years and it became the foundation for the Adidem group of companies which includes the Wise Foundation.

Every year, MBA supports a charity based in Monash that is doing great work and delivering impact.

This year, the charity we are supporting is the Wise Foundation who was our not-for-profit winner in 2017/18 for their social enterprise initiative the Mulgrave Farmers Market.

Graeme is also the Founder and Patron of The Big Issue street newspaper, a past director of The Hudson Institute of Medical Research, and past board member of Indigenous Enterprise Partnerships, the Brotherhood of St Laurence, Prahran Mission and Philanthropy Australia.
