Description

Four new after school workshops Tuesdays 4-6pm at Scitech!

This series of four workshops will explore the Digital Technolgies curriculum and work through the Computer Science Education Research (CSER) Foundation-6 MOOC content using a range of online and hands-on activities.

These events have been designed sequentially. You will need to register for each date individually.

Please bring a laptop or tablet.

This presentation is suitable for school leaders, teachers, and pre-service teachers.

Tue 10 Oct - Workshop 1 - Pre-Mooc Preparation, Introducing the WA Digital Technologies curriculum. Beebots, Dash and Dot, Spacial Reasoning concepts, Hour of Code.

Tue 17 Oct - Workshop 2 - Data – Patterns, Data – Representation, Ozobots, Sphero, Pencil Code.

Tue 24 Oct - Workshop 3 - Systems – Digital, Systems - Information, Makey Makey & Scratch, Wearable Tech

Tue 31 Oct - Programming – Algorithms, Programming – Visual, Edison robots, Sphero, Micro:bit
