Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies represent a new frontier in information technology. Since the genesis Bitcoin block on the 3rd of January 2009, this emerging industry has been an innovation hub for fintech, computer science and new models of governance.

Our Beginner & Intermediate Workshops will increase education and public trust in the use of Blockchain technology for managing assets.

Beginner Workshop

  • Participants will set up Bitcoin, Ethereum & NEM wallets and own all respective currencies by the end of the night. Included $10 AUD equivalent in ticket price.

  • Participants will set up profiles on vetted Exchanges for the purpose of buying and selling cryptocurrency. This includes:

    • Fiat → Crypto

    • Crypto → Crypto

  • Participants will successfully send and receive cryptocurrencies and understand how this interacts with the Blockchain protocols.

  • Participants will understand cold storage through demonstration and can be assisted in purchasing devices online or bring their cold storage devices for configuration.

At the end of the Workshop participants will have:

  1. A basic understanding of the Blockchain and how it works.

  2. A basic understanding of Cryptocurrencies and how they work.

  3. A best practice approach to the acquisition and storage of cryptocurrencies.

Materials Required

Participants need laptop, smartphone, notebook & pen.


Madeline Bassetti, BBus (Ec) LinkedIn

Madeline has a background in Economics and has been involved in the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency space since 2015. She is passionate about the future of the tech and ensuring an inclusive community that is able to benefit from accurate knowledge transfers. Madeline is actively working on Bloom Technologies suite of service offerings.

Terence Jardine

Terence has a background in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. As the technical founder of Bloom Technologies he is able to field questions pertaining to Blockchain technology. A keen advocate of education that creates impact, Terence has been assisting seniors for years in learning computer literacy skills.
