Event description

Description

For all of you who use coaching in your work:
Do you ever feel you are working harder, yet making less of a real difference?

What if there was a better way . . .

What if you stopped striving to consume what you might need later,
and allowed yourself to live and work more fully now?

What if you stopped trying so hard to be helpful, and instead saw yourself
as a witness to deeply human change processes that are already underway?

What a relief that would be . . .

You could:

  • De-clutter your work and life
  • Get to the crux of issues sooner
  • Make a difference in this moment

At this retreat you will deepen your abiilty to create real change in real time through crossng your own thresholds to what is next for you.

The Crossing Your Next Threshold retreat is built on the pioneering work of Dr David Drake, the founder of Narrative Coaching and applied Narrative Design.

Crossing Your Next Threshold is for you if you want to:

  • Infuse coaching more deeply in the way you live and work

  • Align your personal and professional life to work as whole person

  • Have powerful new experiences not collect more explanations

  • Tap your own inner wisdom and express it in creative new ways

  • Flourish as you work across multiple disciplines and professions

This retreat is not about adding more tools to your ’toolkit’. Instead, you will be invited to step off the treadmill long enough to feel your own rhythm again, identify what you need to care for yourself at the highest level, and discover what is next for you in how you live and work. You will cultivate a deeper trust in your core wisdom and in the moment as you work on real issues in your life and work.

It is a retreat from the battles you have created and the stories you have been telling yourself, often for a long time. Rather than an escape from life, this retreat is an immersion into life. It is designed around the Narrative Coaching model (left). We will look at the narratives of your profession(s); your personal narratives; the narratives of the people you serve (or want to serve); and the narratives of what you want to do next.

You will learn how to shift states and responses quickly so you can learn and leverage any moment in service of yourself and/or your client.

Learn with the master!

The Crossing Your Next Threshold retreat is a product of two decades of scholarship and practice by Dr. David Drake. He is the founder of Narrative Coaching and the author of Narrative Coaching: The Definitive Guide to Bringing New Stories to Life. He has taught his work to over 10,000 people in sixteen countries.

A master coach, facilitator, and thought leader, David is a Fellow for the Institute of Coaching at Harvard. David has written over 50 publications and used this work in companies like CBA, Dropbox, Google, Logitech, Nike, PwC, and government agencies.

David founded the Moment Institute to deepen our understanding of how to foster real change in real time. Its mission is developing integrative practitioners who can work in transformative ways with personal, organizational and social narratives. It is based in the belief that our stories are the source of our suffering and the opening for our liberation.

By attending the Crossing Your Next Threshold retreat, you will:

  • Learn to thrive by subtraction rather than addition so you are free to travel lightly and shift in the moment
  • Be nourished and transformed, with an increased personal resilience and expanded capacity to deal with uncertainty and work with simplicity
  • Learn how to work more freely in the moment with people while getting more lasting results
  • Expand the depth, reach and agility of your work using a unique combination of applied mindfulness and design thinking techniques
  • Prepare yourself to work in a very different future by learning how to bring more of your whole self to more integrative ways of working
  • Join a growing community of people like you who want to work as narrative change agents in ways that will sustain them and our planet

By attending this retreat, you will:

  • Have a three-day experience in which you can release stories that no longer serve you and/or others, move through a rite of passage and cross important thresholds as a professional

  • Share meals and build relationships with marvelous people who are on the same journey

  • Receive a signed copy of David’s seminal book (new edition)

  • Receive 10 ICF Core Competency CCEU’s

  • Get in early on with what is coming for this work and how you can be involved and benefit

Space is limited to the first 25 registrants per location. We are keeping the groups small by design so there is enough time for everyone to get what they came for in terms of the next steps in their work and life.

We hope to see you there!
