Event description

The tournament has now begun - join the Crochet Tournament 2020 Facebook Group to spectate and follow along

Are you up for a challenge to compete in Australia's first Crochet Tournament?

Limber up your fingers and wrists and put your crochet skills to the test to complete three heats - each a little harder than the last - and if successfully completed, partake in the grandfinal.

The patterns will remain a 'mystery' until the start of each heat/grand final. But we can tell you, all designs have been prepared by Australian designers - and will be written in both US and UK terminology.

The timetable is as follows:

Heat 1 begins - 1 May 2020

Heat 2 begins - 1 June 2020

Heat 3 begins - 1 July 2020

Grand final begins - 27 July 2020

Prizes will be awarded for each heat and the grand final (see the rules below for details). And everyone who completes each heat and grand final in the time set will be eligible to be in the final draw.

Prizes include: Gorgeous yarn packs from TexYarns valued between $100 and $400, Book Packs from Search Press Australia valued at $100, Clover Amour Hook Set from Ascot Lane Distributors and notions to the value of $100 a ticket to the Sunshine Coast Crochet Retreat in November 2020 by Crochet Australia valued over $300 and a 6 month subscription to Crate Crochet Yarnaholic Box worth over $150.

Any yarn can be used, or tournament packs purchased from Crochet Australia. The full yarn requirements will be emailed to after you have completed your registration.

Just by registering, you'll get:

  • 6 patterns over the course of the tournament

  • Ability to purchase a tournament pack from Crochet Australia at 15% below the normal retail price.

  • A bonus 15% discount on all Subscription boxes from Crate Crochet.

Full details will be provided in an email you will receive from Crochet Australia.
