Event description

Description

Insurer Lloyds of London has suggested that a major global cyber-attack has the potential to trigger $53 billion of economic losses. That’s about the same as a catastrophic natural disaster, like 2012’s Superstorm Sandy.

WannaCry and Petya demonstrated that even well-resourced global organisations, including large scale food companies, law firms and transport conglomerates, are not immune to malicious ransomware attacks.

However, the Australian Government and security experts have warned that online scams and hacking are particularly catastrophic for small businesses and can cause devastating reputational damage.

When a crisis strikes, how an organisation responds is vital. Are you ready?

Crisis Communications: Cyber Attack is designed to improve your organisation’s readiness and responsiveness in the event of a cyber-attack.

Attendees will receive:

+ Tools to create a crisis communications action plan, including identifying key spokespeople; crisis chain of command, crisis workflow and crisis communication checklists

+ Customisable key messages and holding statements

+ Media, crisis and spokesperson training

This is a highly interactive training program that includes a crisis simulation session with an experienced investigative reporter and videographer. Participants will roleplay oneonone interviews, doorstops/ambush interviews and press conferences.

The fullday program accommodates up to 10 trainees, providing at least one round of camera time for each participant. Lunch is provided.
