About this Event
Mulgoa Valley Landcare invites local families to a spotlighting adventure of the Mulgoa bushland corridor. Families will be guided by expert ecologists, specialising in locating nocturnal animals, for a fun and interactive experience. Come and learn about native flora and fauna, connect with nature and foster new relationships in the community.

Enjoy a light supper, refreshments and take home a FREE native plant!
Activities will include:
- Welcome and introduction to the historic Cox's Cottage Conservancy
- Guided tour throughout the bush with expert ecologists
- Locating nocturnal animals, creatures and critters
- Explanation of flora and fauna found along the track
- Spotting of nest boxes, habitat logs and burrows
- Mingling and chatting over supper
- FREE native plant giveaway!
Minimum Age Recommended: 5 years.
Fitness Level: A moderate fitness level is required for all participants. Uneven ground, trip hazards and one steep hill to navigate.
Dress: Wear sturdy enclosed shoes and clothes appropriate to get dirty.
Bring: Torch or headlamp, insect repellent and personal water bottle.
Provided: Torch/binoculars (1 per family), specialist equipment (insect light traps, sweep nets, bat detectors), bottled water (1 per person). Port-a-loo on site.
This is a FREE family event, supported by Wentworth Healthcare, promoting social connectivity, mental health and well-being in the community.

Please note that the entrance to Cox Conservancy can be easily missed. It is located opposite the "Hayshed" Entrance to Fernhill and is on your left if travelling in a southerly direction, and on your right if travelling in a northerly direction along Mulgoa Road. A sandwich board sign and balloons will denote the entrance.
