Creative Industries Networking: DOING BUSINESS WITH GOVERNMENT
Event Information
About this Event
You are invited to our Creative Industries Networking session at St Paul’s Creative Centre on Thursday 11 March 2021 from 5:45 for a 6:00pm start, until 7.30pm.
With a range of opportunities for local businesses to tender for South Australian government work, knowing how to tap into state government procurement processes can help accelerate your business.
In response to your feedback, we’re pleased to host our second Creative Industries Networking session, DOING BUSINESS WITH GOVERNMENT.
Minister for Innovation and Skills David Pisoni MP will open this session, and you will have the opportunity to hear first-hand from the Office of the Industry Advocate about recent and proposed changes to procurement, and how these are relevant to the Creative Industries.
The GoToGov team from the Department for Innovation and Skills (DIS) will also discuss how creative start-ups can find opportunities and expand capabilities with government contracts.
Speakers:
Phillip Dowsett, General Manager, Industry Participation - The Office of the Industry Advocate, Department of Treasury and Finance
Phillip's role is to advocate for an increase the number and diversity of South Australian businesses winning South Australian Government contracts, and to monitor participation compliance
Paxton Cook, Program Manager, GotoGov, The Department for Innovation and Skills
Paxton is an experienced business adviser specialising in innovation consulting, government grants/incentives, and high growth ventures. Paxton has extensive experience consulting to startups, SMEs and large multi-nationals across all industry sectors, and has helped numerous SA businesses secure government funding.
Enjoy nibbles and a complimentary drink on arrival, ask questions of the speakers during the formal session and then meet and network with fellow business owners from across the spectrum of the creative industries.
