After School drop in for students to learn new media skills from Shopfront artists.
About this event
Bring your own project or learn new skills in this weekly creative drop-in session at the Hurstville Media Lab. Guided by Shopfront’s film artist, David Molloy, you can learn how to make your own films, podcasts and get the latest tips and tricks to get your creative project to the next level.
These drop-in sessions are a great way to get advice and mentorship and gain some real skills in digital media – photography, editing, recording – and get access to a professional studio and equipment.
Bookings: There are limited spaces, bookings are recommended
Experience: no prior experience needed
Age: 12-15 years old

About the Media Lab and Digital Tool collection
The Media Lab boasts a professional studio set up with a cyclorama wall, green screens, studio lights and Surface Studios with the full Adobe Creative Suite. The digital tool library contains cameras, recording equipment and other digital accessories that can be borrowed for free with your library membership.
About the facilitator and Shopfront Arts
David is a multidisciplinary artist engaged in stage and screen. He has worked locally and internationally as a writer, performer, AV designer and videographer. David is one of the creative facilitators of Shopfront Arts. Shopfront stands as Sydney’s only cross-art form organisation led by and dedicated to the artistry of Young People.
