Event description

Description

New Zealand’s agricultural industry is under global public scrutiny. Topical issues of waterway pollution and climate change – all intrinsically related to soil science.

The public want the problem solved, the media want to blame someone, and the farmers need help to reduce pollution and increase production.

In a world of misinformation, fake news and political division, what responsibility do soil scientists have in setting the record straight?

More importantly – How can the most up to date and reliable information be communicated to the public and to farmers in an interesting, effective and creative way?
