Creating Cut-Through Content: Georgia Frances King (Kinfolk)
Event Information
Description
Georgia Frances King is the editor of Kinfolk magazine, the leading independent lifestyle publication for young creative professionals.
After working at frankie magazine in the early noughties (during which time it won two Australian Magazine of the Year Awards), Georgia swapped her hometown of Melbourne for New York's grimy glisten. Shortly thereafter, she was swept across to Portland, Oregon, to become the editor of Kinfolk magazine.
During her time as editor, she oversaw a company-wide redesign, hired in a new stable of photographers and writers and ultimately shaped Kinfolk into the cult-adored, award-winning publication it is now regarded to be. After three years at the helm of the industry-changing behemoth, Georgia will be moving back to New York mid-year to continue paving the way in modern media—but not before popping home to Australia to speak at Vivid Ideas.
In conversation with Madeleine Dore of Extraordinary Routines, Georgia Frances King will discuss her life, career and love of content.
